The Purpose of Solitude

Those who allow themselves to be governed by emotion never come to the place of rest and peace; they feel the need to speak their minds especially in areas that either don't matter, areas that they cannot change or when they are defending their right to lead a corrupt life.

Wise people don't speak their minds because they know that the loud people always have something to say - and never feel the need to listen. What's more is wise people learn the most in times of quietness and stillness - and what they've learned is confirmed in moments of speech such as a sermon.

I know that many who speak their minds 'think' they are the only ones who actually have one or use one; but when you apply stillness to your thoughts and calmness to your emotions, only then will you begin to see the practicality of these quotes.

People mostly use their emotions for self-serving purposes. When you learn to think 'away' from yourself, and practice justice, compassion and humanity, you will see that there is a much better use for your emotions because they now fit into 'God's Plans' as you allow yourself to become 'God's Hands'.
